Maybelline - Pie in the Sky

I wore this one for a family get-together. I remember choosing it because I thought it's an appropriate colour - a nice soft pastel, nothing too blingy or shocking. And guess what? I got at least ten comments on them, all of them saying my nails are super bright, "look at her nails is she crazy to wear that", "OMG I'd never wear that in public" and alike. Am I crazy, is this not a nice pastel shade? I mean, I have much much brighter blues in my stash :)

Three coats plus SV. Despite everything, I love the colour and will definitely wear it again. Thanks to KarenD :)

Catrice - Be My Millionaire and Maybelline - Shooting stars

I bought Catrice for a swap and later decided I won't send it, so it stayed with me. And yesterday when deciding which polish to wear I played a game - I randomly choose a polish to wear with my eyes closed. Yes, I do that a lot... So the Catrice was chosen, and I put it on. It's so boring and frosty that I didn't even take pics of it. After like half an hour I had to put something on, and I remembered Karen sent me some great layering polishes. Finally I decided on Maybelline's Shooting Stars. It's holo glitter and blue tiny stringy glitter in a clear base. I love it! It really made my mani interesting, and I couldn't stop looking at it. The pics are a little bland though, because I took them under artificial light. But you can still see all the great stuff going on on my nails:)

EOTD two times

I know you're not used to seeing my eyes - I actually think I haven't posted any EOTD pics at all. So, here goes: my eyes :)

For the first one I used Barry M Dazzle Dust in Silvery black, Old gold and Grey. I also used Maybelline's Falsies mascara.

For this one I used Barry M Dazzle Dust in Lime, Yellow and Khaki. and again, Maybelline's Falsies.

I really like Barry M's eyeshadows, they're super pigmented and they apply nicely. I used S-he All in one jumbo pencil for base in both looks.

Maybelline - Electric Blue and Essence - Deep Blue Sea

First, sorry for my absence for a couple of days - I finally got to take a short vacation:)

I already wrote about my shopping fail - I wanted to buy a navy blue creme and bought a shimmer because I didn't pay enough attention and was in a hurry. I was afraid Maybelline mini Clolorama - Electric Blue was really close to an Essence polish I already owned - Deep Blue Sea, which is also a dark shimmery blue polish. So I did a comparison:) They actually aren't as close as I expected - Deep Blue Sea is a lot darker, but both are absolutely gorgeous! I had no problems with application with either one, both are two coats.

All pictures are under artificial light.

Here are the polishes on nails - the darker one is Essence and the lighter one Maybelline.

Maybelline mini Colorama - Electric Blue

Essence Show Your Feet - Deep Blue Sea (I think they don't sell this one anymore)

Maybelline mini Colorama - Party Blue

This is my first Colorama polish. I bought it today, because it was on sale. I mainly went to a drugstore because yesterday I realized I don't own a dark blue/navy creme polish! Can you imagine?!? I bought one from Maybelline, but I realized it's a shimmer when I got home. Total fail *bows head in shame* I really should stop shopping in a hurry.

Anyway, that's not the polish I'm going to write about today. I also bought a light blue cream one - Party blue. I hate it! The brush is idiotic. It's too big, not flattened and spreads way too quickly when you touch the nail. All in all, the application is a PITA. It's a really goopy polish, so thin layers are impossible. I applied three layers, and you can see on the pics that it's still streaky. The photos are with top coat - it helped a bit, but not enough. I can't say if it dries quickly, because I removed it immediately after taking pics.

All pics are under artificial light - absolutely no natural light here today. I tried going outside to take at least a half decent picture in natural light, but my flash kept going off, and the pics without it are a dark blurry mess. Soooo not my day:)

Don't you just hate when you love the colour of a polish but it's totally horrible in every other way? Argh...
