Eyeko - Posh Polish

I'm trying out something new - subtle manicures for college. I don't think it's going to stick:)

This is Eyeko - Posh polish. The formula was great, two coats. No TC.

And just for fun - A picture of Puhek (Fluffy), one of my two guinea pigs.

My stash

During the holidays I took some time and organized my stash. I proudly present a spreadsheet with all the polishes I own (without treatments, BC and TC):

LINK to the Google spreadsheet

The link to this spreadsheet will always be available on the right sidebar, so if you wish to see swatches of any specific polish, just ask and I will make it happen:)

What I've been up to

Believe it or not, last week I only painted my nails once! I went nekkid for three days, and then I wore Dusky Mauve for four days. I took pics, but they're crappy, sorry.

I want to show you, what I've been up to.

I'm opening my web shop thingy sometime next week, so I've been making jewellery like crazy. Rings and necklaces mostly. Preview? :)

Catz :)

I'm not going to apologise for not posting, hell, it happens to everyone.

Instead of an apology I have an adorable pics for you:) Gal, sleeping. One of the rare times he's still enough so I can take a picture.

And this is his idea of helping;) I'm begining a new "project" and was trying to take pics. I wasn't successful:)

Oh, and see the new design? It's still a work in progress, but isn't it amazing? I love it! Thanks to Laura from EightDayDesigns, who totally rocks:)

Magic Peeling

I usually don't do reviews of products other than MU and polishes, but I'll try to describe my experience with this product as good as I can. First, I have to say this product was sent to me for review for free, but that did not in any was infuence my opinion - it is written honestly and according to my experience.

When the company's representative contacted me if I would like to try this product, I thought yeah, just another peeling glove. Been there, done that. I googled around and saw some nice opinions, so I agreed to test it. I got it in the mail a couple of days ago, and was really surprised by it. The texture of the glove is sort of silky, but changes to rough silky if you run your fingers over it up and down - which is the direction it's supposed to be used when peeling.

It's supposed to have all sorts of beneficial effects, you can read all about them here. I was mostly interested in the claim that it makes your skin smooth and radiant (like any peeling should, but rarely does).

I focused my first use on my face. I carefully read the instructions included (use on warm, soaked skin, wet glove, not under water etc etc) and began my treatment. The feeling is sort of like rubbing with a towel, nothing painful or uncomfortable. But I was a little uncomfortable when I saw how much dead skin I managed to scrub off - gross, let me tell you. You're lucky my camera died and I can't show you pics:)And this is on my face, where I regularly use a gel peeling. After the treatment my skin felt smooth, but sort of tight. Then I applied my regular moisturiser and went to bed. Now, this will sound lame and silly, but I actually felt like my skin looked better in the morning than it did the morning before. And it was way smoother to the touch, so YAY Magic Peeling!:)

The other test I want to do is on my legs. I love waxing them (well, I love the effect waxing has on my hair), but I've been having problems with ingrown hair ever since I started waxing. One of the things Magic Peeling is supposed to help with is reducing ingrown hair, so I'll give that a try. I'll use my regular gel peeling on one leg (it's from Alverde if you were wondering) and the Magic Peeling glove on the other and see if there's any difference. After the first try on my legs I can say that there's a difference, much more icky yuckie dead skin went off with Magic Peeling. I hope to have some pics when I update, I have to get my camera fixed.

So, congratulations if you managed to read this far:) If I sum up I can say that this glove really surprised me, positively. I couldn't believe how much dead skin this glove removes, and my skin looks better even now, after one use. I definetly recommend it, I will keep using it and stop buying gel peelings:) You can find out more about the product on their website here.

Have you tried this product before? What is your experience?

Swap?

Hey all of you lovely readers:) It's turning out to be a great day here, there's actually some sunshine and it's supposed to be quite warm during the day, so yay! I just wish I had chestnuts to roast...

Anyway, I have a wish/request/proposal/idea/whatever. I've been seeing lots and lots of magnificent Halloween themed polishes from the USA on blogs lately, and I have huge lemmings now! So I'm wondering - would any of you super pretty and lovely ladies from the USA be interested in a swap? I think I *need* some coffin shaped polishes and some pumpkins, or I'll just die :))

Please email me or leave a comment if you're up for it!

Random stuff and giveaway winner

First I have to apologise for my rant a few days ago, but I was so fed up and had to get it off my chest. Thank to everyone who commented and sent emails, I'm fine and managed to avoid the flood. It was a matter of centimetres, so I had no sleep whatsoever during the weekend.
And I have to extend my sympathis to all of the Slovenian families who did get fdlooded. We really had a terrible weekend here, and the damage will take months to repair. I feel for you all!

On another note: I had a giveaway for Slovenian blogers which ended yesterday, so I'm due to pick a winner:) The rest of the post will be in Slovene, sorry.

Flood Rant

Warning: major rant ahead. If you wanted to see nails, sorry, no go. If you're not in the mood to read an angry woman's writings, please ski this post.

I live near a little creek that usually has a few litres of water in it. It used to be just that, a small creek. Now, everything in our area is changing - big appartment complexes, large parking lots, the highway... And waters from all of these surfaces run into that little creek. There's very little fields or other grassy areas left to soak in the water. Consequently, what used to be a creek turns into a goddamn river in the fall when it rains. And when we get rains like this weekend, we move everything from my apartment, which is on the ground level, into my parents part of the house on the first floor, and then spend our time watching the level of the "creek" and hoping it won't flood. Right now, my living room is completely stripped of everything but bare furniture, my bedroom is empty. Effin depressing. But still, better be safe than sorry. I lost almost everything in a flood three years ago. Everything I couldn't rescue in half an hour that is. And because there are only a couple of houses threatened by floods, nobody really cares. All we can do is hope for the rain to stop. And that's what I'm doing right now. I wanted to paint my nails to pass the time, but I packed up all my polishes in a giant box, which I can't find among all of my other crap and valuables upstairs. Today is sooo not my day.

Sorry for the rant people, but I just had to get it off my chest. Hope you're all safe!

People sayings

I've been totally swamped with my studies, so still no nails. Now I'm fed up and decided to share some pics/sayings from a website I found a while ago, Make My Mood - People Sayings. None of these is my making, all are from the above site. I only copied my favs here:)

Why no nails today

I have a very good reason:) Meet Galileo aka Mirč (still picking out the name:) )

He's adjusted nicely. In a matter of hours he learnt where to use the toilet, where his food is, how to climb up to the couch, how to beg for food when I'm eating and how to be a little attention-whore. All the basics:)

Essence - So Glamourous

I have had this one for a really long time, it was one of my first polishes when I started my obsession :) I still like it - it's a deep red with red shimmer that spices it up just a little bit. Two coats, like almost all Colour&Go polishes.

And on another note: I have to mention another nail polish blogger which I totally admire, especially now. She decided to follow her dreams and is starting her own nail polish company. You've probably heard about her - I'm talking about Maria from R3 Daily. Her line will be called Cult Nails. So Maria, kudos to you!

Back!

Just a quick note to let you know I survived my "vacation". I deliberately left all my nail polishes at home, so no pics of my nails with an ocean view background for you:)

I do have a special treat for all you ladies that are not exclusively obsessed with nail polish, but have a general MU obsession:) I got all of Barry M's Dazzle Dusts and Fine Glitter Dusts that you can buy in Slovenia (from )! Yes, ALL of them! And all I had to do was swatch them. Oh poor me, I had to play with make up:)) So I'll be showing you some of my favourite colours in the coming days, and my pics will also be on their website. Yay, I'm an eye model now :)

Anyway, back to work for me. Have fun:)

Going... part 2.

... and I'm off again. I'll be back somewhere around the 8th of August. See you then!

French mani aka Things we do for love

Now, I love colour. You'll rarely see my nails bare. But my boyfriend, he's something else. He sort of makes an ugly face every time he sees my nails in colour. He only supports bares, soft pinks and nudes. And the most sexy nail colour for him is a classic french. I often tell him that he can only thank god that he came about before my nail polish obsession started, cause he'd never make the cut these days with his uptight nail polish view :))

Anyway, he's finally coming home today (from the vacation my panic stopped me from going on), and I wanted to greet him with a mani. French, of course. And not even a funky french, I tried my best and did a regular french mani, white tips, sheer polish over it... I did use a flower sticker though. Had to have something colourful on my nails!

I used Essence's White Tip Painter and Wet'N'Wild Sparkling Diamonds, and the sticker is a random one, have no idea when or where I bought it.

I love the tip painter! Until today, I always used the guide stickers that come in french mani kits and it never really worked like I'd like it to. Always made a mess somehow. But with the tip painter I can do my tips freehand, it's easier and way faster. It only irritates me that I'm such a clutz with my left hand my right hand isn't the best case of a french :)

And the W'n'W I love too. I payed waaaaaay too much for it (about 4,5€ in a teeny tiny drugstore in my town), but I appreciate it today. It really sparkles. There are two coats on the pic.

So, I hope my BF likes it. Well, I hope he at least notices my efforts :)

Going...

Just a quick note... I'm going away and will be away until the 24th of July. I'm being dragged off onto an island in the middle of nowhere, with about 200 inhabitants, so I'm guessing I won't be able to connect to the internet:) Have fun, polish your nails and stay well while I'm gone!

Love to you all!

Bling bling challenge

I was downloading pics from my camera just now and I found pictures of a mani I did for the Polish Hoarder Disorder's Bling Bling challenge from last week. I had fun doing it, but I completely forgot to send it in! That just shows how hectic my days have been for the last couple of weeks. And to top it of, I'm ill. I have a fever and everything. It's 30 degrees outside and I'm cold! I feel stupid:)

I used Essence Lilac forever for the base, Silver surfer for the lines, and every possible blingy polish I own for the "nail art".

Inside my purse:)

I'm a one purse gal, I always have been. Lately, due to much running around in different outfits, I had to start combining two purses. Mostly beacause one is too colourful to go with "serious outfits" - it's Desigual:

The other one is a plain black leather one. And, because I'm not always in the mood to put everything from one to another, I started stashing stuff in both of them. Yesterday I decided it was time to clean up, because I lost my keys and couldn't find them in any purse. So, I threw everything I had in them on the floor. Here's what came out:

Yes, that's something isn't it?

And the pic after some sorting and throwing away:

I found some long lost lipglosses, a bunch of hair stuff, lighters... So ladies, this is sort of an educational post. The lesson to be learned is: If you can't find something, it's probably hiding somewhere in your purse. Or, better yet: Clean out your purse regularly!

Oh and yes, I did find my keys;)
