Swap package arrived today!

I was having a really crappy day up to now. But I got home and a lovely package was sitting in front of my door and calling me:) It was my swap package from the super lovely 'chelle from Cosmetic Cupcake! Aussie polishes!

Here's my loot:

Love the candy:)

I got two fauxnad plates! And an ointment that you can put on anything apparently. I tried it on my lips as they were chapped and it feels very nice, so I'll definetly try it on other parts of my super dry skin too.

I got a bunch of Ulta3 polishes! These are, from left to right:
Watermelon, Passion Purple, Hollywood, Spring Fling, Waterlily and English Rose (like you couldn't read that yourself.. :) )

BYS! Left to right:
Silver Moon, Plum Delight, Mauve-it On Up, Silver Black and yes, you see right, a CRACKED in Black!

And last, but not least - TBN and Mode. Left to right:
Raspberries&Cream, Gilt and Party Girl!

Now i'm happy:)

Essence - Date me! and a Hello Kitty mani

The insipiration for this mani was again a weekly challenge by Polish Hoarder Disorder. The challenge was to do a manicure, inspired by a book cover. Any book cover :) Since I'm mostly surrounded by study and work related book these days, I decided not to enter the challenge this week. But then I had a recipe I wanted to write down in my recipe book, and was immediately turned - I did a manicure with purple, flowers and Hello Kitty. You can see the cover of the book in the pic below, along with the things I used for the mani.

And here's the base polish - Essence's Date me! from the Cute as hell line. It took three coats to be opaque and not streaky, but the colour is worth a little extra hassle :)

I wanted to recreate the flowers on the cover, so I stamped them using two plates from Essence and used a Fauxnad plate for the Hello Kitty image (thanks nihrida!)I used Essence's Joe and Go wild for the flowers, combined with H&M's Pure white. Kitty is stamped with Konad Black polish.

Enough with the chattering - here is the final mani:

You can see all the other fabulour entries here.

And on another note - I absolutely hate myself for not posting the blog awards you guys have given me in the past weeks. I just can't seem to find the time. I'm really ashamed - I hope you know I'm really flattered by the awards!

H&M Sinful Senorita with Jessica No Shine TC

I already showed you H&M's Sinful Senorita here, but yesterday I tried it with Jessica's No Shine TC. Yes, I know, it's still pink, but I needed something more socially acceptable for a lunch I went to:)

Here are the pics:

I really like it, in fact I like it better matte than shiny, even though it's a holo when it's shiny. Weird huh? :)

I also tried konading over it with a clear TC to make a shiny konading, but it wasn't as seeable (is that even a word?) as I would have liked. It's supposed to be a four leaf clover btw.

A franken by Tassa

Tassa sent me this franken a while ago. I can't remember why, but I must have done something really nice cause this polish is pretty perfect :) It's a deep lavender purple with shimmer that's slightly holo. I later added some konad, the print is made using H&M's Pure White from the mini set of polishes.

Animal Konad

I had to do something to the boring colour of Essence - Spot on. I decided to add a different animal on every nail. I used Konad Black polish for stamping, and konad plate m30 for most except for the butterfly, which is from an Essence plate, and the squirrel and footprints that are from a Chez Delaney plate that doesn't have a number on it.

I also tried stamping with a plate from Chez Delaney I tried many times before, but had no success. Guess what? No better today. It's the plate numbered H34, it has Mickey and Mini mouse on it, a teddy bear and alike. And I definetly saw today that it's not etched deeply enough into the plate, because it doesn't work even with konad polish:( I'm mad/sad:(

I took pictures of each individual nail. Please keep in mind this is one of my first konad tries :)

Test - kateri lakci delujejo s konadom?

Smrk smrk:(

As I mentioned before, today is not my day. And since I wasn't doing anything productive, I decided to try some polishes with konad plates. As an added bonus I tried konading with Jessica matte top coat, which failed miserably, because I spilled the polish over my computer, table and my favourite t-shirt from a local band :(

Pa da ne bom dolgovezila - sledijo slike. Na vseh nohtih sem uporabila Essence adorable (Pure Beauty LE) kot podlago.

So, to get to the pictures: I used Essence adorable (Pure Beauty LE) as a base on all nails.

Najprej platka - iz Essence Stampy seta.
The plate - from Essence Stampy set.
