Essence - Black Out and Constance Carroll - Flashing Silver

Even though I drastically shortened my nails again (because I can't type with long nails...), they're still sort of yellow or greenish, because i was lazy the other day and didn't use a base coat. I know I know, should have known better... I was in a real hurry yesterday, so I had to put a polish on that was a one coater. I remembered reading about this Essence one from their new trend edition - I was lucky and Santa brought it to me:) It's a semi matte, plastic sort of finish polish.

One coat was enough for medium coverage, the sort that you can get away with, but are annoyed by the balder spots:) So when I came home, I put another coat on my pinky finger - you can see that it does look much better. I also put a matte top coat on my middle finger, to show you the difference between matte and "soft touch finish" as Essence calls it.

I've been in a shimmery/blingy phase for some time now, so of course having matte black nails is not acceptable:) I put a layer of Constance Carroll's Flashing Silver on top, and two layers on my ring finger, sort of like an accent nail. I really like this polish, it's cheap and makes any dull polish liven up just enough, so it's still wearable but blingy.

BeautyLine Deluxe - Nr.2

I looked at my calendar this morning and it hit me - it's only 4 days to Christmas, and I'm not feeling it at all! So I had to at least put something christmasy on my nails. I remembered a gold foil polish I bought last week, dug it up and put it on. I was shocked, it's THE perfect gold foil! It's a cheapass polish from KIK (a textile discount store), but it's great! It's a one coater, and it's not all gold, it's got tiny silver and copper stuff in it too, just to liven it up. I really love it! In the pics it's without top coat (because I ran out of SV:( ).

See the macro shot? Amazing!

China Glaze - For Audrey

Yes, finally I managed to take pics of my nails and post them:)

China Glaze - For Audrey was a long long time lemming for me, and I finally got it a month or so back. I totally forgot I even had it until I randomly stumbled upon it in my drawer. Of course I put it on immediately:) It took three coats to even out, I suspect it was my fault and it usually takes two:) I topped it with China Glaze Fast Forward - I'm testing it to see if it could replace Seche Vite, because it is much more easily accesible to me than SV. A terrible thing has happened you see - I ran out of Seche. That totally has a part in my lack of manicures:(

Anyway, enough crying. Pics (after three days of wearing, so not bad at all):

What I've been up to

Believe it or not, last week I only painted my nails once! I went nekkid for three days, and then I wore Dusky Mauve for four days. I took pics, but they're crappy, sorry.

I want to show you, what I've been up to.

I'm opening my web shop thingy sometime next week, so I've been making jewellery like crazy. Rings and necklaces mostly. Preview? :)

Catz :)

I'm not going to apologise for not posting, hell, it happens to everyone.

Instead of an apology I have an adorable pics for you:) Gal, sleeping. One of the rare times he's still enough so I can take a picture.

And this is his idea of helping;) I'm begining a new "project" and was trying to take pics. I wasn't successful:)

Oh, and see the new design? It's still a work in progress, but isn't it amazing? I love it! Thanks to Laura from EightDayDesigns, who totally rocks:)

Barry M - Pure Torquise & Crackle

If anybody asks me what my favourite colour is, I say torquise. So this is the nailpolish that catches that colour in a bottle perfectly. Two coats, no TC.

I couldn't resist and put a coat of Barry M's Instant nail effects over it (aka cracle polish). It's soooo cool:) It dries matte, and if you put a thin layer on, the pieces of cracked polish are small, if you put a thicker coat on, the pieces are bigger. I'm going to wear this over everything now:)

Thanks Maja from licila.si for the torquise one ;)

China Glaze - Ruby Pumps

I'm not going to waste time praising this, I guess you all know it's gorgeous.

I made a collage of pics under artificial light - it's for a competition. So you need to click this to make it big, it's the only way you'll see the gorgeousness:)

Claire's - Chunky Blue

I've obviously been on a lucky streak, I've been choosing only great polishes from my stash to wear:)

This is a perfect blue jelly with silver glitter and large hexagonal particles. Love it. Need the purple and green version too:)

Eyeko - Military Polish

I just had to show you this! I apologise, my camera still isn't repaired, so pics are extremely crappy, as I took them with my cell phone and under artificial light. But the colour of the polish is surprisingly accurate, so I decided to post them anyway. I'll make it up to you with a post about a great blue polish I wore a while ago with great pics:)

Anyway, I love Eyeko, especially their polishes. I bought this polish, and I got an Ambassador welcome pack with it, as I signed up for an Ambassador. It contained a lip gloss called London Lips, which I also adore and been wearing it a lot lately. I'll do a proper review when I get my camera (again with the camera... I didn't realize until now how lost I am without that thing!). I'm blabbering again, so back to the polish. It's unique in my stash, I have nothing alike. It applied very nicely - the first coat was streaky as usual, but the second coat really evened it out and made it opaque. I love twocoaters:) And the colour is exactly what I'd call camouflage brown/green. Another Eyeko win;)

EDIT: Just as I posted this, the sun came out, so I took two pics in the sun too. Again, crappy crappy, but quite colour accurate on the polish.

Milani - Molten Rock & Matte Magic

One of those polishes that look great in the bottle, but leave you speechless when you put them on. I wore this a couple of time in the last month, and that's saying a lot considering my stash :))

After a day of wearing it I decided to put Matte Magic on. I love this one even more.

Loooooooooooveeeeeeeee! :))

Which one do you prefer?

China Glaze - Wagon Trail

Loooooooove! Two coats, crappy pics. This is an old set of pics, taken at night under my desk lamp. I just had to post them anyway, I remembered how much I love this polish. It's a dark olive base with gold shimmer. Love, again. The tip wear is after a couple of days wear, so yay for that too. And konading is done with Essence Stampy polish in white.
