China Glaze - Entourage and Barry M - Instant Nail Effect

Yes! I'm finally back to blogging! I found a lamp in my living room that I can take almost decent pictures with, so better than nothing.

Here's a mani I was sporting at the beginning of this week. China Glaze - Entourage, topped with Barry M crackle polish. ChG would take at least three polishes to look ok enough to wear alone, but I got away with two because I put the crackle polish over it. I didn't put any top coat on, because I wanted the crackle polish to stay matte. Consequently, the black started falling off in pieces in matter of hours. Damn was I angry :S

China Glaze - For Audrey

Yes, finally I managed to take pics of my nails and post them:)

China Glaze - For Audrey was a long long time lemming for me, and I finally got it a month or so back. I totally forgot I even had it until I randomly stumbled upon it in my drawer. Of course I put it on immediately:) It took three coats to even out, I suspect it was my fault and it usually takes two:) I topped it with China Glaze Fast Forward - I'm testing it to see if it could replace Seche Vite, because it is much more easily accesible to me than SV. A terrible thing has happened you see - I ran out of Seche. That totally has a part in my lack of manicures:(

Anyway, enough crying. Pics (after three days of wearing, so not bad at all):

China Glaze - Ruby Pumps

I'm not going to waste time praising this, I guess you all know it's gorgeous.

I made a collage of pics under artificial light - it's for a competition. So you need to click this to make it big, it's the only way you'll see the gorgeousness:)

China Glaze - Wagon Trail

Loooooooove! Two coats, crappy pics. This is an old set of pics, taken at night under my desk lamp. I just had to post them anyway, I remembered how much I love this polish. It's a dark olive base with gold shimmer. Love, again. The tip wear is after a couple of days wear, so yay for that too. And konading is done with Essence Stampy polish in white.

China Glaze - Secret Peri-Wink-Le

I don't know about you, but having nail polish that matches my clothes on makes me feel more presentable, neat, elegant. I had a pretty important meeting this morning, and I dressed up. I needed to do a quick mani, and this one was on my desk, because I just got it yesterday - second hand polish FTW:) I thought: Hey, ChG, this must be a great polish! and it matched my blazer prefectly! So, one coat... two coats... THREE COATS?!? NO! 4! Damn you secret periwinkle! And I love the colour soooo much, it's the perfect colour if you ask me. But seriously, what's with the formula? I sort of suspect it was thinned out before I got it:( EDIT: I found out from the previous owner it WAS NOT thinned out. So I blame China Glaze for the crappy formula now.

And here are the pics. See how it looks I have a centimeter of polish on my nails? *sigh*

I have a question for all of you more experienced gals - if a polish is too runny or watery, is there a way to thicken it? Like leaving it opened/uncapped for an hour of so?

China Glaze - QT

Yay, ChG!:) I got this in a mini swap:)

I was sort of dissapointed - after all the raves and great pics I was a little let down by this polish. A little too holo perhaps? Don't know. Anyway, I'll wear it again for sure:)

Swap with Chris from USA!

I already told you yesterday about my swap with Chris from Lacquer Ware For Tips And Toes. Today, I have something better - pictures!

The loot:

Yes, I literally laughed out loud when I was unpacking it. I love every single polish, and the Hello Kitty marshmallow rocks:)

Chris was super kind and put together a huuuge package as you can see. She also attached notes to the polishes:)

The candy:

And then "The Beast" cane to see what all the fuss is about:) Yes, I managed to salvage poor Kitty before she ate her:)

And the polishes:

Unfortunately, the glass file did not make it. I'll try to super glue it tomorrow, didn't have time today.

The polishes are:

L.A. Colors Metallic Purple
Borghese Stellare Notte
Sally Hansen In the Spotlight
Sinful Colors See You Soon
Sinful Colors Hottie
Sally Hansen Spectrum
Wet'n'Wild Rustic craze
Claire's calm/wild
Wet'n'Wild Morbid craze
Wet'n'Wild Night Prowl
Confetti My Favorite Martian
A franken
KISS nail art set with three polishes and stencils
China Glaze Matte Magic

You see now why I laughed? And sort of screamed too? To you USA girls these polishes are probably nothing, but to me they're all really special and I'll love them until they are empty:)

I couldn't decide which one to wear, so I did a crazy skittles. I didn't have any meeting or serious affairs, so I could afford it:)I used 10 of the polishes from th swap! One coat of Seche Vite over all of them.

Chris, YOU ROCK!

And, this is my 100th post! Yay for me, and a bigger YAY for all of you who put up with me;)

My firsts :)

As most of you know by now, I only buy low-end polishes and I don't order online. Why? I keep telling myself it's a way to keep myself from spending too much. Still don't know if it works though :) Consequently, my stash is limited to brands you can get in Slovenia, at least most of it. But yesterday, an amazing opportunity showed itself to me! nihrida, I'm sure you've all heard of her, was willing to sell me some of her polishes, so I jumped up and down with excitement! Unfortunately I only had time to do a quick skittles style swatch today. But I'm taking votes on which to do a full mani with tomorrow!

Anyway, all of these are my firsts. My first Misa, my first China Glaze, my first OPI (well, sort of OPI) and my first Color Club. Yay me!

China Glaze - Cowardly Lyin'

Color Club - Ultra Violet

Nicole by OPI - Leaf Me Alone
